Gemology is the science of understanding gemstones. Aude's love for the mineral world began in childhood with a small, rough aragonite crystal. As she grew up, she realized she had to make this passion her way of life. With her bachelor's degree in art business in hand, she then sought out the best schools to train and become an expert.

Since 2013, she has been a certified gemologist, accredited by the Royal Belgian Gemmological Society, the European Federation for Gemmological Education, and the High Diamond Council. There, she learned to identify gemstones, detect potential treatments or synthetic origins, and assess their qualities. In 2013, she completed the University Diploma in Gemmology at the University of Nantes.

Driven by a desire to share her love of gemstones, she taught gemology and diamond grading for over four years at HRD in Antwerp, the diamond capital, as well as in other countries (China, Thailand, Italy, etc.). She founded SOLYA in 2017 to share this passion in a different way: by offering you high-quality gemstones. From September 2018 to April 2024, she also served as the director of the Royal Belgian Gemmological Society.
