Tiger's Eye is a polycrystalline Quartz, meaning it is formed from a multitude of small crystals, here in the form of fibers. These can even be distinguished with the naked eye when looking closely at the stone. Its name comes from its resemblance to a tiger's eyes. It was already considered a protective gemstone over 5000 years ago. Tiger's Eye contains asbestos, which will not harm you through simple skin contact but could have serious consequences if ingested.
