Tanzanite is a rare stone, mined exclusively in Tanzania. A member of the Zoisite family, it is distinguished by its blue-violet hues, due to the presence of vanadium. Discovered in 1967, natural large Tanzanite is extremely rare and highly sought after, making it a precious and unique gem. According to a popular legend, its blue-violet color was born from a powerful thunderstorm that struck the region years before its discovery.
