The name Rock Crystal is said to come from the Greek word krystallos, which means "ice". The Greeks believed that Rock Crystal was actually frozen water that could never return to its liquid state. This stone was therefore said to have a cooling effect.

At the time, Rock Crystal was associated with Gaia, the mother goddess, the Earth. Today, among other things, this beautiful gemstone is said to recharge other stones and amplify their effects.
