Dimensions: Approximately 14.5 cm high and 9 cm at its widest point.

Origin: Brazil.

Please note that the surface of the stone is not perfectly smooth. It has small, flush cavities.

Smoky Quartz owes its beautiful color, which can vary from light brown to dark, almost opaque brown, to natural irradiation. In the 12th century, in China, Smoky Quartz was cut into plates and used to create sunglasses. In the 19th century, this lovely gemstone was said to be highly prized by fortune-tellers, who preferred it to Rock Crystal because its captivating color concealed secrets from the uninitiated.
