According to an ancient Inuit legend, Labradorite is a crystal born from the fire of the aurora borealis, frozen by the cold. This small treasure only reveals its beauty when viewed from the right angle. It gets its name from the Canadian region of Labrador, where it was first discovered around 1770. However, it seems the Inuit people knew this gemstone, which they called "fire stone," much longer and attributed many properties to it. They even ground it into powder to use in ointments and elixirs.
