This marvel was handmade in Brazil in a family workshop. Each piece is therefore unique.

The name Amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethystos" which means "not drunk". The Greeks regularly drank from Amethyst cups to slow down the effects of alcohol. According to a Greek legend, the god of wine Dionysus fell madly in love with a beautiful young girl named Amethystos. He coveted her, but she wished to remain pure. She implored the goddess Artemis who, to protect her, transformed her into a beautiful colorless crystal. Dionysus, furious, then threw his cup of wine onto the crystal, thus giving it its purple color.
