It is also sometimes called Heliolite. Sunstone exhibits a similar phenomenon to that observed in Aventurine, known as aventurinescence. This magnificent gem contains small, plate-like inclusions that give it a sparkling effect. Typically in Sunstone, these inclusions are Hematite and Goethite. There is a rarer variety of Sunstone that contains Copper inclusions.
